Article: The Ground is My Ocean

The Ground is My Ocean

The Ground is My Ocean

In the vast expanse of life, there are those who navigate it with ease and those who struggle to stay afloat. Like a shark in the ocean, some individuals are natural-born survivors, able to navigate the depths of the world with confidence and grace. They are unencumbered by the weight of uncertainty, and the unsteady currents of life do not deter them.
Rickson Gracie, a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu master, famously described himself as a shark. To him, the ground was his ocean, and he moved through it with ease, skill, and precision. He knew that most people couldn't even swim in his world, much less survive.
In this metaphor, the ground represents the challenges of life. For some, it's an unpredictable and dangerous landscape full of pitfalls and obstacles. But for others, it's a playground, full of opportunity and adventure. Like a shark in the ocean, they are free to explore and thrive.
It's easy to envy those who move through life like sharks in the ocean. They seem to have it all figured out. But it's important to remember that everyone's journey is different. Just because someone else seems to be thriving doesn't mean that you can't too.
The key to success is to find your own way to swim. For some, it may take more practice and effort than others. But with hard work, determination, and perseverance, anyone can learn to navigate the challenges of life with confidence and skill.
